My last post of the year for three years running is a Balance Sheet.

Assets

In 2015, I decided to put my personal health first. I exercised almost every day in 2015. In July, I hired a personal trainer and swapped writing at 5:00 AM every day for deadlifts, squats, floor press, and body weight exercises.

I have eaten a vegetarian diet for a solid year, and on a lot of days, I have been “vegan until dinner.”

I have taken up meditation and a spiritual practice with a teacher who has helped me see all the ways that I am my biggest obstacle.

I have consistently been more patient, more compassionate, and more empathetic (even though my wife insists there is still a lot of room for growth).

I finished editing my first book and agreed to a two-book deal with a major publisher (The books will be released in the Fall of 2016 and 2017).

I had well over 1,000,000 page views here at The Sales Blog. I posted every day this year, making it six years running (Still minus those 13 days in Tibet.)

With my mastermind group, I held my first live public event in Washington, DC.

My greatest asset is my family. This year marked 20 years married to my best friend.

Record sales in my businesses.

Debits

Even though I am a vegetarian, I too often ate poorly. A lot of bad, easy-to-find food is vegetarian. I also haven’t done well with supplements, and I don’t drink nearly enough water.

I haven’t treated time with the respect it deserves. Knowing how little you have, you shouldn’t waste a second.

I let work get in the way of vacations because I wasn’t proactive enough in scheduling them.

I haven’t planned my work well enough in advance. I didn’t delegate enough work. I didn’t automate enough work. And I didn’t eliminate enough work.

I (still) haven’t moved fast enough on some opportunities.

On balance, an excellent year.
